THE BEST PHYSICS IN THE MARKET
Additionally, we designed post-processing materials that closely replicate the real-world appearance of signal interference. As a result, our simulator delivers an exceptionally immersive and authentic signal loss experience.
2. Custom signal loss system with realtime path tracing.
1. Accurate collisions with vegetation.
At present, no other simulator offers realistic interactions with grass or trees. In most cases, vegetation is either intangible or behaves like a solid concrete wall. Our custom collision system allows the drone to fly through foliage with slight deviations in trajectory, minor impacts, and temporary loss of motor thrust. However, colliding with a tree trunk will cause the drone to rebound rather than pass through. The drone can get tangled in grass or damage its propellers upon hitting branches. The extent of the damage depends on several factors, such as propeller size, rotational speed at the moment of impact, and the material of the surface involved.
Recreating video signal interference is a complex task, as the signal may reflect, be absorbed, or pass through objects. We developed a system that dynamically builds a three-dimensional map of radio visibility, taking into account the reflective properties of different materials along the signal’s path.
Our physics engine is arguably the most advanced ever created in the history of FPV flight simulation. It features a fully functional PID controller, realistic motor current draw and voltage drops, physically accurate battery discharge behavior, and much more. Below are several key aspects that set our physics model apart from competitors:
